I bought this glass. Hey, I was actually there as an excited 3rd grader.

The whole place looks like this: crammed full of cool stuff. Prices are pretty amazing. This place is an absolute treasure trove.

I wanted this book for some reason. But I resisted its allure.

I'm from Clarksville, VA, and completely enjoyed the pictures of your trip here. The store without a name is the Virgina Avenue Mall, and you are right... it's chock FULL of kitcsh. I HATE those jean purses. Oh, and the Mariposa closed this week. The owner was a lunatic and couldn't keep help and often argued with customers, so her business dropped off and she closed. She's the mayor's wife, and probably a bit bi-polar. I'm sorry you seemed to have missed the art gallery (the only lavender colored building in town). There are some great exhibits of regional artists there, and recently they started doing a jazz and poetry slam night. ahhhh...the things you learn when you talk to a local. basicmouth@yahoo.com
