People really twist Coleridge&#039;s &quot;suspension of disbelief&quot; to mean &quot;just believe whatever,&quot; when he was really proposing that a writer does enter into a quid pro quo with the reader to keep things internally consistent.</description>

Answer:  They move at the speed of story.

I, personally, am down with that, but I also need some internal consistency.  Story bibles are a writer&#039;s friend.</description>
