I currently hate you. How you pull off this many words every year astounds me. (And what I’ve been able to read, when you tease with the odd link to a completed story, is really entertaining.)
As it is, I’m hoping to have 5 pages to forward to my writing group on Sunday. Sigh. More beer. Definitely need more beer.

Congrats! (I am also in awe of your ability to spend what I’m assuming is most of a Saturday writing. My attention span is not up to that. You must be a born writer.)

My secret is coffee. I’ll bet I’d write more with wine but it would look like monkey-typing. I wrote those 8,000 words on Saturday in, er, 4 hours. They were four really spastic and focused, intensely Rain Man style hours.
I’m doing it again tomorrow. There’s something about pushing myself like that. I don’t know what it is, but I get off on it. The countriest part of me, the part that things I’m a wuss for not killing with my bare hands my every meal, loves that.
