Especially Pony. As someone who was influenced by our derby friends to give it a try (damn you, job, for interfering!) - it's one of the most empowering things around. It's also really surprising how people react when you tell them you're in derby. Far more men than I expected treated it as some lascivious thing. Far more women than I expected said that I, or they, were too *nice* to do that kind of thing. I send a link to this post to Busty of the CRG, by the way. I couldn’t even finish reading Twisty’s post, much less the comments. Especially Pony.
